[Mrs. Y Blogs] #StayClassyFeb Recap

Welcome to March, everyone!

This is Friday, and usually, I'd put out a book review, but I wanted to get a day off to go over what happened with February and to take a day off. I don't normally take days off so I hope you can forgive me one tiny indulgence. <3

As you all know I went into a journey of classical fiction. I think it was a fun theme! I learned a lot about story structure from a historical perspective, and also what it was that I really enjoyed about some classics compared to others. I also loved this last week. The last four books were eye-opening to me. I hadn't read a couple of those books ever before, and it was stunning. I hope that by going through all these books and reviewing them, I've encouraged others to read something from a long ago day and consider the meanings.

Please allow me to use that as a segway, and write about what happens next. Starting on March 4 (Monday) I'm going to go back to reading and reviewing modern books. I appreciate all of the books that have been requested of me to read and review. My goal is to read and review 3 requests a week and 2 books that I want to read on my own. This may take me a couple of weeks to get to, but I want to strive for this goal otherwise I'm never going to get a chance to read my own list. I found in January I only was able to cover one book of my own desire to read, and everything else was requested. I also love fan requests, so if you have something you'd like me to read but it's not your own book, feel free to let me know on my contact form.

Additionally, just a reminder, I am still taking donations to help with buying requested books. If you'd like to help me, I have an article about it here. I have a PayPal and Digital Tip Jar account set up to help, and if you want, PayPal allows for monthly donations if you are interested in helping.

Finally, I'm going to leave a list here of what it is that I reviewed and a link to each review in case you missed one, or want to go back to read them.

I'd love to hear your opinions! If anyone is interested in more discussions about classical literature reviews, please let me know. I'd like to have more literature-based discussions and I'm always interested in more dialogue about what it is I am reviewing, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
